Freedom Life Outreach is people with a desire to share the hope and love of Christ outside the walls of the church. We partner with key organizations in the community to accomplish this.

Care Net is a non-profit on a mission to bring practical help and hope to
women facing pregnancy decisions on the Virginia Peninsula. Since 1986 they have served Newport
News, Hampton, Williamsburg, Poquoson, Gloucester, Yorktown, and James City County. They provide
free ultrasounds, free pregnancy tests, confidential consultation, parenting support, and post-abortion
Care Net has three main fundraising opportunities: an annual dinner banquet, the Walk 4 Life, and a
baby bottle drive. FLC participates in all three by raising a team for the Walk 4 Life, the baby bottle drive
and inviting FLC attenders to the banquet. Our Prayer Partner ministry has been invited to pray on site
at Care Net and also receives prayer requests via email, for prayer support on an ongoing basis.
Individual volunteer opportunities are advertised and regularly updated on Care Net’s website.

Food for the Hungry is a Christian disaster relief and development organization working in more than twenty countries around the globe, seeking, “to end ALL forms of human poverty by going into the hard places and closely walking with the world’s most vulnerable people.” ( They accomplish this by partnering with individuals and churches to provide clean water, medical aid, education and vocational training, spiritual development and more, in a manner that is culturally sensitive and recognizes the humanity and dignity of those they serve.
In 2013, FLC adopted the village of Carmonial, and embarked upon a ten year partnership with FH in that village. Through child sponsorships, funds are raised to equip and empower families to identify their greatest development needs and then strategically work toward addressing and improving opportunities to live and thrive physically and spiritually. Some ongoing programs that FH uses to accomplish these aims are: an after school academic and Biblical tutoring program, women leaders training and equipping,
teaching food safety, health promotion and disaster prevention. The focus of their ministry is being Christ-centered, innovative and relational, child-focused, and cherishing culture. You can get involved with FH by sponsoring a child (sponsor drives 2-3 times per year), help with mission team fundraisers, and sign up for our annual mission trip in June or August.
Hampton Opportunities Initiative
The Hampton Opportunities Initiative desires to make a sustainable difference in improving conditions for youth-at-risk within the Hampton community.  Our goals include:
– Building strong, supportive relationships with principals and teachers at multiple elementary schools within the Hampton City Schools system.
– Identifying educational, tutoring, and mentoring needs for students that, when met, will improve their learning levels and quality of life.
– Raising financial resources that can be strategically used to provide students with the educational materials and programs needed to improve their learning.
– Proactively connecting willing and able volunteers with school leadership to provide tutoring and mentor relationships for students.
